At the root of the crisis, demand for aid in some NGOs had soared 40% in recent months. Social organizations are detecting a disturbing drop in the percentage of hiring people with disabilities, there are more than a million households where all members of working age are unemployed, poverty now affects one in five English families and one every four children is poor in Spain.
